As an undergraduate, she spent a semester at the Intercollegiate Center for Classical Studies in Rome where she conducted independent research on the latrines at Ostia. Allie also has spent a summer studying Greek culture and history in Ortigia, Sicily at the Exedra Mediterranean Center. Her experience abroad led her to work as a marketing intern and student advisor for the Study Abroad office at the University of Pittsburgh during the 2017-2018 academic year. Travel and education continue to inspire her work at Notre Dame. Her Masters thesis will focus on travel in the ancient world, specifically travel to Greece under the Roman Principate. Allie has served as a teaching assistant for classes in Greek history and Greco-Roman mythology. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys gardening, baking, and walking her dog.
