Hannah graduated Phi Beta Kappa and summa cum laude in 2021 from Middlebury College, receiving her degree in Classics with departmental honors. At Middlebury, she received the George H. Catlin Classical Prize in 2021 and the Kellogg Latin Prize in Translation in 2019, 2020, and 2021. Her senior work, a thesis entitled “Ab Lingua Condita: Varro’s Origins of Latin”, examined the philosophy and linguistics of the etymological books of Varro’s De Lingua Latina. She studied abroad at Oxford University in 2020, focusing on the work of female Latin authors and classical reception in Anglo-Saxon England. Her research interests include philology, historical linguistics, and the personal style of ancient authors, especially in Latin.
