Kaitlin Senko graduated in 2018 with her bachelor’s degree in History from Colorado Mesa University with minors in English and Classical Studies. During her senior year, she spent a semester getting to know Rome personally at the Centro with the Intercollegiate Center for Classical Studies, spurring her on to graduate work focused on the heritage of Roman culture. Kaitlin completed her Master’s degree with honors at Western Michigan University in 2021 at the Medieval Institute, where she focused on depictions of women’s education, sexuality, and authority in Old English reworkings of ancient Greek and Latin texts.

Following her graduation, she spent a year teaching for the Medieval Institute and the Classics program at WMU, as well as the Classics department at Kalamazoo College. Her current research interests include philology, gendered authority dynamics, representations of masculinity and femininity, and the reception of the classical tradition in the medieval and early modern periods.
