Teaching and Service

Each semester, our students contribute to the department service in different ways:

• Serving as teaching assistants (TAs) of undergraduate courses by grading exams and papers and meeting with students outside of class

• Leading a Friday discussion section for undergraduate courses in ancient literature or ancient history

• Teaching a beginning (or perhaps intermediate) Latin or Greek course

• Serving as research assistants (RAs) for professors in the Departments of Classics or Theology
