Eileen Robinson

Biography

Eileen Robinson graduated magna cum laude from Trinity University in 2026 with a B.A. in Classical Languages and Ancient Mediterranean Studies. At Trinity, she was a President's Scholar and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. As part of Dr. Timothy O'Sullivan's "Roman World Lab," she was a co-contributor to a student commentary on Book 11 of Apuleius' Golden Ass. Her research interests lie in the realm of the Ancient Novel as well, but with a focus on the Greek novels. During her senior year, Eileen examined the portrayal of Pan and the broader themes of 'urbanization' and 'acculturation' in Longus' Daphnis and Chloe. Eileen is drawn to doing research on the Greek novels because of their rich and thought-provoking nature: she is especially interested in exploring the importance of rites of passage and gender roles in the novels, as well as the influence of the Homeric epics on the genre.
