"Classics isn’t necessarily something you just study; it’s something that can influence the very way you understand the world and live your life. It is in Classics that you witness how the West was built and that you explore the human character.

You’re exposed to philosophy, psychology, theology, law, history, politics, and medicine—the sort of all-in-one education everyone should get. You learn how to analyze, to infer, to communicate, and to present. ‘Course, with all that said, whenever asked why I love Classics, the easiest answer is often the most telling: ‘There’s no explaining true love.’"

As a classics major, Michael Mercurio '13 wrote not one, but two senior theses. Learn more about his undergraduate experiences here. He is currently a law student at the University of Notre Dame.
