Research

Creating a unique research project is one of the most stimulating ways to learn — and one of the best ways to enhance the college experience. By diving into the world of research as an undergraduate, students develop meaningful relationships with professors, better understand how scholars work, and experience the thrill of discovery. Classics majors are encouraged to consult with our faculty to develop specialized research projects.

Three great ways to develop your independent research skills in Classics:

  1. Summer Research Internship: Fully-funded internships to work with Latin archives in Rome or to assist at an archaeological dig in Greece.

  2. Senior Honors Thesis: Delve deep into your favorite Classics topic by working with one of our great faculty members.

  3. Rome International Scholar: Spend a semester living and researching in the Eternal City with the support of our wonderful team at Notre Dame Rome.
